AdVision TV - Broadcast Credits

ITV Live Regional News
We recently provided a 6 camera OB unit for ITV's Central Tonight, live from an old Gas Works in Birmingham. Central's Head of News decided to take the regular evening show outside of the usual studio to hold a regional debate on the HS2 High Speed train link, attended by a live audience and 6 panelists.

Olympic Bid 2012
AdVision TV's outside broadcast unit was the coordination hub for the London 2012 Host City celebrations in Trafalgar Square. Our OB truck provided video feeds to the several large screens around the square for the 10,000 spectators who took part in the celebrations. We were also receiving satellite feeds of the live annoucement from Singapore, managing a two-way link from the G8 conference at Gleneagles so that the Prime Minister could have a live interview with the presenters in the square after the announcement, as well as playing out the various official VT promos.

Who Wants To Be A Sillionaire
Who Wants To Be A Sillionaire was commissioned by Nick Wilson and is produced by Cheeky TV's Chuck Thomas for Channel Five. AdVision TV were commissioned to provide the technical facilities and shoot the location inserts for the programme which was shot at The Maidstone Studios.

Directed by AdVision TV's Matt Titterton and produced by Timmy Mallett and Chuck Thomas, the programme is an upbeat sketch show set in a virtual studio. The set contained a series of still images which were chroma-keyed live in the studio to create a stunning look at a fraction of the usual cost.

All the pre-recorded inserts in the show were recorded around central London with special hidden camera techniques which were achieved using a tiny lipstick camera concealed within a briefcase recorded onto DVCAM.

Caught In The Act
The police as you have never seen them before! This one-off light-hearted documentary follows officers and staff from Thanet Police as they put on a charity fund raising pantomime "Robin Hood" at a local theatre (Theatre Royal Margate). Our programme shows the contrast between the seriousness of the hard working PC's at work during the day, and the light-heartedness of the pantomime rehearsals and preparation in the evening.

Our story-based documentary follows the ups & downs of their progress from script writing, casting, rehearsing and set building through to the final performance. We focus on six diverse characters as they struggle in their new roles. The enthusiasm of the producer which filters through the whole crew; the vision of the no frills Geordie director leading his apprehensive cast; and the eternal patience of the overworked prompt.

But it's not only those in the panto that we look at! There are comments and reactions from colleagues and family who have to endure intensive line learning sessions and pre performance nerves. We also follow the course of singing lessons given to an officer to improve performance. Overall, an entertaining, humerous insight to the work of Thanet Police and the production of a pantomime around the festive period.
